Through Andy's 24-year career, he has pursued an entrepreneurial path through the development of four huge new markets including storage, data security, open source, and now the burgeoning carbon market. Andy has built new international territories, markets and led teams at some of the most respected technology innovators including EMC, RSA, VeriSign, Red Hat, Sana Security and Imperva. He has experienced growth and success and been mentored by some of the industry's top leaders to witness first hand what works in building winning teams and businesses in early and growth markets.
Prior to co founding Planet Metrics, Andy held VP-level business development, channels, and alliance roles for Sana Security, a leading application intrusion prevention security provider, and Imperva, the leading web and database security solutions provider.
Andy also led the Strategic Alliances and Business Development team for Red Hat, where he was responsible for driving strategic relationships with HP, Intel, Sun, Oracle, Cisco and Compaq. Under his leadership, Red Hat increased its OEM and channel revenue and improved its brand as it quickly became the de facto standard in enterprise Linux. Prior to Red Hat, Andy was on the founding team at VeriSign as employee #4, where he built and deployed the International VeriSign Affiliate Program and the VeriSign Trust Network to establish VeriSign as the first and world's de facto issuer of digital certificates to enterprise, consumer and banking institutions. Forging partnerships with BT, France Telecom, Acer Taiwan, Gemplus, NTT Data, Mitsubishi, Chinese Ministry of Finance and Commerce and Persetel, Andy was responsible for establishing the trusted network of Certificate Authorities across every major trading market worldwide. Beginning his career with EMC in 1986, Andy was also at the forefront of the storage market, where he established beachhead offices and strategic channel partnerships throughout Western Canada, Japan and Southeast Asia. While establishing EMC Asia, Andy built a team, developed partnerships and secured customers resulting in the largest market share position of any 3rd party peripheral vendor throughout the Pacific Rim.
He holds a BS degree from the University of Rhode Island, and an international marketing degree from Richmond College in London.

As Director of Product Management, Jørgen is responsible for project management and delivery of the Planet Metrics software. Specializing in ecological footprinting and environmental input-output analysis, Jørgen brings a deep understanding of sustainability issues to Planet Metrics. Prior to joining the company, he managed a $100M product line at Cisco Systems and worked with several Fortune 500 companies and startups in the carbon offset, solar energy, and biomass gasification fields, helping them determine and analyze financial models, opportunities and risks associated with carbon offsetting. Jørgen was a founding member of DriveNeutral.org, an organization that offsets carbon emissions for car owners. Jørgen is on the board of Presidio School of Management, one of the first business schools to focus exclusively on sustainability. He earned his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands and earned his MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio School of Management in San Francisco.

As Director of Professional Services, Nathan is responsible for the science and methodology behind the Planet Metrics solution. Nathan brings seven years of sustainability industry experience to the company, most recently as an environmental consultant for a large engineering services firm. His work involved environmental risk assessment studies for a variety of Fortune 500 companies, including large oil and gas companies, banks, manufacturers, and several Federal and State government clients. Nathan was a founding member and instructor with GeoJourney, the premier field-based environmental education program for university students in the US. He received his Masters in Energy Management from the University of Otago, New Zealand, where he performed whole supply chain Life Cycle Analyses of building and construction products. Nathan was also a researcher and instructor at the University Of Georgia Institute Of Ecology, where he studied carbon cycling in natural and human-impacted systems.

As Director of Research, James is responsible for the scientific data and research that powers the Planet Metrics solution. James has five years of experience working on environmental and sustainability issues. Prior to joining the company, James was a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives where he managed environmental and natural resource issues for Rep. Mike Thompson. He worked extensively on legislation and policy concerning climate change, energy resources, electronics recycling and water resources. James received his Masters in Ecology from the University of Georgia, where he developed Habitat Conservation Plans and regulations in accordance with the Endangered Species Act for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Prior to receiving his degree, James was a researcher at University of Georgia's Institute of Ecology, where he studied carbon cycling, ecosystem, population ecology and geomorphology in natural and human-impacted systems. He was also an instructor with University of Georgia's Honors Interdisciplinary Summer Field Program.
